This weekend, I discovered a couple of books and CD’s I think some of you will love, especially the ones with small children or grandchildren.
Sally also wrote a collection of 10 Bible stories for very young children. Baby’s Hug-a-Bible was the inspiration for the new album Big Stories for Little Ones by Rain for Roots, four musical mothers of young children: Sandra McCracken, Ellie Holcomb, Flo Paris, and Katy Bowser.
When Talitha and I were at Andrew Peterson‘s concert on Friday, she told me that she knows every word of every song on Slugs & Bugs & Lullabies, because when she visited our friends the Rigneys for a few days, it was on continuous play for their boys. That’s a high recommendation, as far as I’m concerned, that a mom can hear the same songs over and over all day and set it to play again the next day . . . and the next . . . and the next.
And who can resist such an intriguing title. There’s another one too, with an even more clever title–Slugs & Bugs & Under Where.
