The Lord of all the earth

Jesus is the saviour of people from every tribe and tongue and nation. As a reminder of that during the Christmas season, I like to use a table cover from far away when I’m setting up our main manger scene.

This year, my mind and heart are turned toward China and the story of Esther Nelson. So the table cover is solidly-embroidered art from an ethnic people of China.

(You can follow my Esther Nelson adventure at my travel blog, Tell Me When to Pack.)

  1. What a great idea! I love it – I will be borrowing it – if anyone asks – I’ll give you credit.
    Thanks and Blessed Advent,

  2. I love this Noel. I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of dear friends John & Kristen, who have been in China for a few weeks spreading LIFE-giving Gospel Truth. (They were arrested & interrogated on this visit. Thanking God they’re ok!) A blessed Advent season to you and yours :)

  3. Noel, I have several Nativity’s from around the world that I love to display at Christmas. The Lord has been so very gracious to me in the last few years. My husband and I are about to celebrate our 30th anniversary (we are young…he just turned 50 and I am 49). We have 9 children, 5 girls and 4 boys. Our 2 oldest are married. When I used to dream of what our grand children would be like, I never dreamed he would bless me with seeing a bit of Heaven here on earth. One of my daughters is married to a wonderful black man, and yes, we live in the DEEP South, Heart of Dixie. When I see 2 of my 4 grand-daughters, my heart gets so excited bc I always think, this is a slice of heaven for sure. I always assumed my g-babies would look like us, green-eyed blonds. God’s plans are so much higher and greater than our own. My 3rd daughter is probably going to marry a black man, and my oldest son is probably going to marry a girl from Cuba! I can’t wait to see who else God brings into our family. When I see my 2 blue eyed blond grand daughters playing with my brown-eyed coffee skinned g-babies, my heart is so very, very full and grateful to an all wise and loving Father. After all, He loves me, and I’m pretty sure I ‘look’ nothing like His Son. Just wanted to share. Have a great Christmas.
